JakMat Geocell - The ground stabilisation mat for car park & utility area construction

    Brief: This field is used by Diocecan school for sporting events. 
    The entrance area is where the bus parks to drop the children off and it is approximately 90 square meters

 

Laying of the JakMat Geocell: 
  • GAP40 was used as the sub-base to improve weight bearing capacity and 100mm sand layer was spread on top.
  • JakMats laid at the entrance, ensuring its interlocking is maintained. 
  • Standard saw was used for cutting where required.
  • Garden mix supplied by NZLS was used to fill the mats and a small amount of excess allowed for compaction.
  • A 10 tonn roller was used to compact.


Laying of the Woolgro Grass Application:
  • Woolgro Premium Fine sheets which is a blend of rye, creeping and fine fescue rolled on top of JakMat system.
  • Cutting with a scissor where required.
  • Garden mix was used again to cover the Woolgro sheets, just enough so the sheets are not visible.
  • Takes few weeks for grass to grow through.
