JakMat Geocell - Car Park Application at Kids Count Education in Papakura


BRIEF: 

A) to visually break up the large concrete surface area comprising the parking and drop off space at the front of the child centre.


B) Allow for a permeable water surface at the edge of the parking area to assist in the preservation of two large trees. 


CONTRACTOR: KJ Construction Ltd. 


 

 
1. A GAP 40 was used as the base course material to a depth of 150mm. This was then compacted and rolled with a vibrating roller.


 
2. JakMatGeocell was laid and cut as required to the surrounding concrete pad.


 
3. A 10mm pea metal was chosen as the fill of the JakMatGeocell.


 
4. Parking spaces lines were created with a paper template and general purpose white acrylic paint.
